On Wednesday, July 2nd we will be returning to Wooden Cask as part of the Big Brew Day event. If you took a share of the saison wort, you are required to bring it to Wooden Cask on July 2nd to share no matter how it turned out. If you are worried about what others will think of your beer, just remember that Andy Melchers will be bringing is DIPA by Committee beer that he brewed at Wooden Cask that day (if I recall, people dumped about 3 lbs of hops into that batch).
Our July club meeting's location is still TBD (check socials if not updated here!). However, Caleb from the Cincinnati State Brewing Science Institute will be giving a technical presentation on conducting an at-home diacetyl test. He will show us a way we can measure the diaceytl in our beer at home. He will also be giving an intro to water chemistry, geared to those who know they need to adjust their brewing water but aren't sure what to do.
